He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
Samuel was a skilled carpenter and attended the Baptist church.
Survivors include his wife Mrs. Gladys Skaggs, step children; Courtney Jones, Corey Jones, and Robert Banks, one sister Ms. Barbara Skaggs, and one brother; Ivan Lee Russell.
