Dora Neal Miller

BURLINGTON, N.J. — Dora Neal Miller, died Monday at her home in Burlington, N.J.
Ms. Miller was a former resident of Kingsport where she attended Douglass High School. She and her family moved to New Jersey several years ago where she was employed as a daycare provider.


She was preceded in death by two daughters, Lisa and Yolanda (Lonnie); her mother, Nellie Neal; and two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Leeper and Magnolia Williams.
She is survived by daughters, Michelle, Regina, Cecilia, Shantae and Shawanna, all of Burlington; two sons, David Miller, Burlington and George Miller, Sicklerville, N.J.; a brother, William Neal, Burlington; 28 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; long-time companion, George Dennis, Burlington; and a host of friends.
Services will be conducted Tuesday at William R. Woody Funeral Home, 465 High St., Burlington, N.J. 08016.
Burial will follow at Fellows Cemetery.

James Lee Mullins

KINGSPORT — James Lee Mullins, 58, of Kingsport, departed this life on Tuesday (May 12, 2009) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

He graduated from Dobyns Bennett High School in 1968 and attended college in Nashville, Tenn., where he received his degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a devoted member of The Great Commission Church.
Preceded in death by his father, Mr. Emmitt Mullins; cousin, Fletcher Hutcherson;
Survived by his mother, Ms. Bulah Banner; three children, host of cousins, nieces and nephews; A very special friend Barbara McIntee. Funeral Services for Mr. Mullins will be conducted from The Great Commission Church on Tuesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Matthew Thomas officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. till the hour of service. Interment will follow at Holston View Cemetery.

Coach Ballard Lee, Jr.

BRISTOL, Va. – Coach Ballard Lee Jr., 15 Independence Drive, Bristol departed this life on April 29, 2009.

The former long-time Virginia High boys basketball coach and star King College athlete died late Wednesday night at age 64.


Funeral services for Lee will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Lee Street Baptist Church in Bristol, Va. A visitation is scheduled from 2-3 p.m.
