Rylan Jaxon Whelchel

KINGSPORT — Our beautiful baby boy, Rylan Jaxon, went to be with the angels above on the morning of May 18, 2012.
He was 31 /2-months-old and had the most beautiful smile and had his own little personality.


Survivors include his parents, Whitney Maynard, Donovan Cox and Brian Whelchel; grandparents, William and Wanda Maynard, Kim and Randy Harkleroad and Caroline Whelchel; great-grandparents, Brown and Evelyn Simpson and Stanley and Peggy Minor; aunts, Mandy Maynard, Candace Maynard, Candice Cox and Heather Good; uncles, Andy Cox and Logan Davis; brothers, Callon France, Braxton Whelchel and Tre’ Whelchel; cousins, Jordan Adkins, Jordan Cox, Jared Cox, Kara Whited, Raven Goforth, David Price, Tiffany Tarter and many more cousins; great-aunts and uncles.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Mausoleum of the Garden of the Mausoleum in East Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor Mike Owens officiating.
Friends may visit with the family following the graveside service.

Whitney and Donovan and all of the family members who loved and cared for Rylan would greatly appreciate all prayers and donations towards the family and Rylan’s headstone, in which he deserves.

Oma L. Kincaid

ROGERSVILLE — Oma L. Kincaid, 90, of Rogersville, departed this life, Saturday, (May 12, 2012) at Church Hill Health Care and Rehab Center after an extended illness.


Mrs. Kincaid was a member of Russell Chapel AME Zion Church. She was retired from U.T. extension service.


Mrs. Kincaid was preceded in death by her loving husband, William A. Kincaid; parents, Ellis and Maggie Hale Snapp; godparents, Mack and Lula Lyons; sisters, Nettie Leeper, Rebecca Ann Snapp; brother, James Barber Snapp.

Survivors include her daughters, Doris Lyons of Church Hill, Janice Sue Hazelrig and husband, Edward of Bloomington, Ind.; sons, William “Buddy” Kincaid and wife, Linda of Church Hill, Kenneth L. Kincaid and wife, Tracy, Paul Kincaid and wife, Stephanie both of Atlanta, Ga.; ten grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Katherine Howard, Etta Mae Fanney, Josephine Willis, all of Rogersville, Bessie Peavy of Dayton, Ohio, Jannibelle Bristol of Kingsport; several loving nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Calling hours will be 12 noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville.

Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. C.C. Curry officiating. Interment will follow at Hawkins County Memorial Gardens.
