Mrs. Geraldine Westmoreland

KINGSPORT — Mrs. Geraldine Westmoreland, 945 Dale St., departed this life on Thursday (Sept. 27, 2012) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.


She was born in Henrietta, N.C. residing in Kingsport for the past 65 years. She was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Westmoreland; her mother, Ms. Ella McCurry; and father, John Bristol; brothers, George Bristol, Johnny Bristol, Lester Bristol, Azel Bristol, Edward Bristol, Dirl Bristol; sisters, Ms. Wanda Bristol, Ms. Belle Dulaney, Ms. Sarah Camp, and Ms. Pearl Royster.

Survivors include one daughter, Ms. Janet Banks; and one brother, James L. Bristol; three sisters, Ms. Elizabeth Brady, Ms. Edith Brown and Mrs. Jennie Ruth Hughes; a special sister-in-law, Mrs. Jennibelle Bristol; four grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren; and nine greatgreat-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11a.m. until the hour of service.

Memorial services will be conducted Tuesday at 12 p.m. from the Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Kenneth Calvert officiating.
