Jai-Lesa Andreyonna Dulaney

KINGSPORT — Ms. Jai-Lesa Andreyonna Dulaney, 7, departed this life on July 14, 2011, by means of an automobile accident.

Ms. Jai-Lesa was a member of Central Baptist Church. She attended Jackson Elementary and was a rising 2nd grader and she enjoyed going to the Boys & Girls Club.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Mr. James H. Dulaney; and a cousin, Jalisa Fergeson.

Ms. Jai-Lesa leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Ms. Keyonna Dulaney; father, Andrew Byrd; grandmothers, Mary Beatty; Angela Byrd; grandfathers, Michael (Kellye) Dulaney and Windord Byrd, Sr.; one brother, Andrew Trammell; five aunts: and two uncles.

Funeral services for Ms. Jai-Lesa Andreyonna Dulaney will be conducted from the Central Baptist Church on Tuesday, at 12 noon with Pastor Ricardo F. Dorcean, officiating.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the hour of service.

The interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Dwike (Rusty) McMiller

JOHNSON CITY — Mr. Dwike (Rusty) McMiller, 57, departed this life Thursday morning (July 7, 2011) at Johnson City Medical Center after a brief illness.

Mr. McMiller was born in Kingsport. He was a son of Rev. George and Elma McMiller, Sr., who has preceded in death, also sister, Marie; bothers, George Jr., Joe Allen, Edward Lee, William and James.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Nikki Henderson and her husband, Q; three grandchildren, Jahyria, JC, and Jadah; one sister, Mrs. Shirley Wagstaff; a brother, Marc McMiller; two sisters-inlaw, Mrs. Dorothea McMiller and Mrs. Wanda McMiller; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon Monday until the hour of service at the Central Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be conducted from the church on Monday at 1 p.m. with Rev. Ricardo Dorcean officiating.

Interment will follow at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, Va .

Richard Wayne Lewis

KINGSPORT — Richard Wayne Lewis, aka "D. J. Gramer", born Oct. 6, 1970, made his transition on (July 5, 2011) after a brief and sudden illness.


He was born in Kingsport to the (late) Clifford A. Lewis and Sinora H. Lewis of Kingsport.

Left to cherish his memories along with his mother are sisters, Monica
Lewis-Patrick, Mena L. Lewis and Octavia P. Brooks; his dear children, Jocelyn R. Cradic, Jasmine N. Lewis, Justice I. Lewis, and two year old Teesha.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until the hour of service.

Memorial services will be conducted at the Shiloh Baptist Church Friday at 7 p.m. with Dr. Kenneth Calvert officiating.

Rufus Michael Wolfe

Rufus Michael Wolfe, 57, Kingsport, TN passed away, Friday, July 1, 2011 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.


Michael was born in Sullivan County, TN on April 7, 1954, the son of the Julia Scott Wolfe and the late Rufus Wolfe, Jr. He was a member of the Church of Christ and retired from Tennessee Eastman. He was a loving father, son, brother and friend who will be greatly missed.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Saunders Releford Wolfe and brother, John Wolfe.

Surviving is his daughter, Loris Adams, Charlotte, NC; mother, Julia B. Wolfe, Gate City, VA; one granddaughter; step-sons, Mukiau Releford and wife, Julie, Johnson City, TN, and Mario Releford, Kingsport, TN; fourteen step grandchildren and seven step great grandchildren; sisters, Dora Martin, Kingsport, TN, Ruby Wolfe Rogers and husband, Stanley, Gate City, VA; Sandra Wolfe Hale, Kingsport, TN; Beverly Wolfe Cutler, Gate City, VA; Janice Wolfe Sharpe, Gate City, VA; brothers, Billy J. Wolfe, Weber City, VA; George Wolfe, Kingsport, TN, and Dennis Wolfe and wife, Yvette, Knoxville, TN; special sister-in-law, Patricia Stokley; along with several nieces and nephews.

The body will lie in state on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at the Church of Christ, Gate City, VA from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at the Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence of his mother, Julia B. Wolfe, 224 Elliott Drive, Gate City, VA. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Brother Mark Harbison officiating. The Wolfe Family Singers will provide the music.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Billy J. Wolfe, George Wolfe, Dennis Wolfe, Theo Robinette, Chris Hale, Kim Sensabaugh, Jerome Spriggs, Alonzo Cutler, and Stanley Rogers will serve as pallbearers. Mickey Rogers, and Michael's special step-sons and nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m., Wednesday, July 6, 2011 to go in procession to the graveside service.

The family requests that anyone who wishes may make a donation to the charity of their choice in Michael's memory.
