Mrs. Deborah Jean Davis

KINGSPORT — Mrs. Deborah Jean Davis, 58, of 201 Carver Street, departed this life Tuesday (June 8, 2010) afternoon at her residence.

Born in Kingsport to the parents of Helen C. Spears and Vance R. Campbell.
She attended Dobyns Bennett High School. Mrs. Davis was employed at OEO and Kingsport Press for 25 years.
Mrs. Davis was an active member of Central Baptist Church and a former member of Valley Street Baptist Church, Abingdon, Va. She was a member of the Elite Club, Kingsport; former member of Douglass H.S. Marching Band.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Marshall Davis; father, Mr. Vance R. Campbell; mother, Mrs. Helen C. Spears; and grandmother, Mrs. Lizzie Russell.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Tammy W. (Phillip) Campbell Adams; several steps sons; two grandchildren, NaTana H. Campbell and Zyioo V. Adams; one sister, Mrs. Joslyn Denese (Carlous) Morrison; special sisters, Vicky Smith, Patricia Stockly, Nellie Foster, Dana Skaggs, Beverly Turner; and one special daughter, Mary L. Beatty; Special life partner, Charles Walkins.
Funeral services will be conducted from Central Baptist Church 2 p.m. Monday with Pastor Ricardo F. Dorcean officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the hour of service. Interment will follow at Zion Hill Cemetery.

Rosemary Webb


MEDIA, Pa. — Rosemary Webb, 88, Media, Pa., died June 6, 2010. She was a longtime member of St. Paul AME Zion Church. She was the daughter of the late John H. Garnett and Lois Mayo Garnett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell A. Webb Sr., and two siblings and two sons-in-law; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Surviving are two daughters, Sylvia Mills of Chester and Olivia Swafford, Kingsport; one son, Lowell A. Webb, Hockessin, Del.; two brothers, Charles Garnett Bear, Del., and William Webb, Ridley Twp., Pa.; two sisters, Lois M. Lawson, whom she raised, of Chester, and Philomenia Peterson, Newark, Del.
The family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul AME Zion Church, 712 Washington Ave., Media, Pa.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Interment will be Rolling Green Cemetery.

Martha A. Faulkerson

ROGERSVILLE — Martha A. Faulkerson, 88, passed away on Monday (May 31, 2010) at Wexford House after an extended illness.

She was a member of Russell Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church. Mrs. Faulkerson was preceded in death by her husband, Charles G. Faulkerson.
Survivors include her daughter, Venora A. Rodgers and husband, William, of Pittsford, N.Y.; three sons, Charles Faulkerson and wife, Johnie Mae, of Erie, Pa., Allan Faulkerson and wife, Carolyn, of Kingsport, and Joe Faulkerson of Houston, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Russell Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church and other times at the home of Allan and Carolyn Faulkerson, 905 E. Sevier Ave., Kingsport.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Irving Greene officiating.
Burial will follow at Hawkins County Memorial Gardens.
Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville is serving the Faulkerson family.
