Mrs. Lorrraine Anne (Worley) Perry

Mrs. Lorrraine Anne (Worley) Perry departed this life on December 23, 2011 at Sinai Grace Hospital in Detroit, MI after a brief illness. She was born August 20, 1944 in Bristol,TN.


She was a former resident of Kingsport, and graduated from Douglass High School in 1964.

She was preceded in death by her mother, 1 sister, 4 brothers and a daughter. She was married to James Perry and to this union 2 sons and 2 daughters were born. She leaves to cherish her memories 2 sons: James and Chandler Perry, 1 daughter: Ms. Monique Virginia Perry and 1 grand daughter: Whitney all of Detroit MI. Two sisters: Ms. Carolyn Worley, Bristol, Va and Ms. Joette ( Willie) Coclough, Johnson City TN. 1 brother Wilbur (Ruby) Worley, Johnson City TN. Several Nieces and Nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday December 30, 2011 at 12:00pm at
the Lee St. Baptist Church, Bristol, TN with Dr. W.A. Johnson, officiating. Burial will follow at the V.A. National Cemetery, Mt. Home TN. The family will receive friends from 11:00am until the hour of service.

Ms. Mariah Deona Maxwell

NASHVILLE & KINGSPORT — Ms. Mariah Deona Maxwell, 20, of 857 Dale St., Kingsport, departed this life on Saturday (Dec. 17, 2011) at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tenn. after a brief illness.

Ms. Maxwell was a third year biology premed student at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga.

She is survived by her mother, Ms. Juanita Maxwell; father, Charles Maxwell; two brothers, Terence Maxwell, Kingsport, and Jeremy Jolin, Dayton, Ohio; one sister, Ms. Mariah Michelle Maxwell, Kingsport; grandparents, Willie and Lillian Thompson, Chilhowie, Va., and Ms. Linda Wise, Kingsport; aunts, Mrs. Cecily(Andre) Kyle of Knoxville, Tenn., Mrs. Jeanette(Norman) Barber of Helena, Ala.; uncles, Jarrod Thompson, Charlotte, N,C,, Lawrence Thompson, Long Island, N.Y., Willie Thompson, Jr., Chilhowie, Va., Wendell Early, Murfreesboro, Tenn., Rendell Early, Washington D.C.; goddaughter, Ms. Aaliyah Menya; nephew, Solomon Maxwell; and a host of great-aunts, uncles, cousins; and close friends.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service on Friday at Central Baptist Church, 301 Carver St., Kingsport.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Ricardo F. Dorcean officiating.

Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

David Harold Mann, 62, of 1102 Delrose Drive departed this life Saturday
(Dec. 17, 2011, at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital Medical Center;

Funeral services will be conducted today at 11 a.m. at Central Baptist Church with Pastor Ricardo Dorcean officiating.

Interment will follow at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, Va .

Rev. Lillie Mae McCrary

NORTON, Va. — Rev. Lillie Mae McCrary, 84, died Friday, (Dec. 2, 2011) in Mountain View Regional Medical Center.


She was a member and assistant pastor at Blackman Chapel AME Zion in Norton.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl McCray and her second husband, Willie McCrary.

She is survived by two daughters, Lena Foster and her husband, David of Coeburn, Ophelia Forney of Norton; four sons, of Norton, Robert Forney Thomas Forney and his wife Edna of Coeburn, Timothy Forney of Norton, Paul Forney and his wife Kim of Norton; daughter-in-law, Wanda Forney of Baltimore, Md.; 30 grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren; aunt, Beatrice Livingston; cousin, Breford Hamilton; niece, Carolyn Johnson; special friends, Sadie Coleman, Richard Lomax, T.D. Lassiter, Frieda Sensabaugh and Effella Goodgame.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Leslie Lee Jr., Rev. Joseph Comage and Rev. Todd French officiating.

Burial will follow in the Oak View Cemetery in Big Stone Gap.
