Obituary for Brenda Sue Rogers
Brenda Sue Rogers, 66,of Rogersville fell asleep and is awaiting the return of Jesus Christ on Thursday (11/5/15) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.She was a faithful follower of The Way Ministry. She was a founding member of the Shades of Nefertiti, a not for profit civic service group. She was a retiree of Baldor Dodge Reliance where she worked for 30 plus years.
Brenda was an active member in the Rogersville community and was well thought of by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie Rogers Sr. and Ada Rogers; and brother, Archie Rogers Jr.
She is survived by her sons, Kevin Rogers of Atlanta, and Marcus Rogers of Rogersville; her grandchildren, Kaden and Kaitlyn Rogers of Atlanta; sisters, Claudia Horton and Diana Rogers of Atlanta, Edna, and Georgia Rogers of Rogersville, and Hazel (Michael) Nordman of Wisconsin, brother, Fred (Charlotte) Rogers of Morristown; and host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday (11/8/15) from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at Christian-Sells Funeral Home, Rogersville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm with Rev. Stephen Roberts officiating.
Burial will follow at Mitchell Crest Cemetery.
