Anderson Rollen “Bud” Hamilton

KINGSPORT — Anderson Rollen “Bud” Hamilton, 60, of Kingsport, died at Brook Haven Manor Nursing Home.

Mr Hamilton was employed as a crane operator for Daniels Construction. He was a member of Bethel of A.M.E. Zion Church in Kingsport and was a very active member as long as his health permitted. He was a member of Revelation Men’s Chorus.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev Rollen and Roxie Anderson Hamilton; one brother, George Nathan Hamilton; brother-in-law, Adolphis Johnson; maternal grandparents, Earl and Mamie Anderson; paternal grandparents, Annie Hamilton, Greene and Sadie Hamilton.

Survivors include three sons, Delrecco McMillan, Sam and Shannon Hamilton of Chilbersburg, Ala., Phillip Hamilton of Kingsport; one daughter and son-in-law, Nona and Daryl McMillan of Chilbersburg, Ala.; grandson, Delbeccho Hamilton, Damauntey Hamilton; four sisters; and two brothers-in-law, Linnie Gillespie of Greeneville, Mary Margaret Johnson of Clinton Md., Mollie and Cletus Miller of Baileyton, Edith and Bill Leeper of Church Hill; one brother, Eunice Ray Hamilton of Johnson City; five nieces, five nephews, eight great-nieces, five great- nephews, three aunts, Edith Campbell, Mary Barkley, Stella Hamilton; mother of his children, Evelyn Kelly of Alabama and Christine Hamilton of Kingsport; several cousins, family and friends.

The family to receive [friends Monday from 11 to 1 p.m. at Jeffers Funeral and Cremation Service, downtown.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Pruitt Hill. Rev. Charles Hawkins will officiate. Pallbearers will be Freddie Gillespie, Ryan Gillespie, Dale Miller, Billy Leeper, Cletus Miller, Billy Mack Barner, Gary Ricker, Mike Previtera, Joe Dunlap, Eamon Gillespie. Honorary pallbearers will be Kris Leeper, Blake Leeper, Ray Hamilton, Men’s Brotherhood of Bethel AME Zion Church, Arlin Bowers, Revelation Men’s Chorus.
