Nettie Mae Hollis


KINGSPORT — Nettie Mae Hollis, 85, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Saturday (Dec. 15, 2007) at Brookhaven Nursing Home.
Nettie was born on Aug. 28, 1922 to Nettie Mae Pickens in Marietta, Ga., and lived in Kingsport most of her life. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Hollis; and her long-time companion, Hartsell McCullon.
She is survived by her special friends and caregivers, Mrs. Jean and Mr. Terry Moore; other special friends, Mrs. Mary Carpenter, Mrs. Linda Hood, Mrs. Elnora Simpson, Mrs. Jean Clark, Mrs. Ann Moss and Mrs. Dallas Watterson; cousin, Mrs. Margaret Johnson; she is further survived by her church family, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held today from 12 noon to 1 p.m. in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel of Oak Hill Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. James E. Snapp, Pastor Lillie R. Turner, Pastor Geraldine Swagerty and Evangelist Elnora Simpson officiating.
Graveside services will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of the Good Shepherd.
